Delete your CricSpeedo data
Last updated: 12 September 2026
This page explains how to delete data from CricSpeedo, the bowling speed app for
Android (package com.cricspeedo.myapp). CricSpeedo has no user accounts,
so there is no account to close. Your data lives in just two places: on your phone, and, for a
short time while a delivery is being measured, on our servers.
At a glance
- Records, ad-free credits and settings are on your phone: clear the app’s storage to delete them.
- Uploaded videos and frames are deleted automatically after each measurement: nothing to do.
- Want confirmation? Email us and we will reply within 30 days.
1. Delete your Records, credits and settings
Your five most recent results in Records, your ad-free credits, and the app’s rating-prompt counter are stored only on your phone. To delete all of them:
- Open your phone’s Settings and go to Apps.
- Tap CricSpeedo, then Storage & cache.
- Tap Clear storage and confirm.
Uninstalling CricSpeedo deletes the same data. Either way, unused ad-free credits are lost and your ad consent choice is reset. Menu names can vary slightly between phone makers.
2. Uploaded videos and frames
You don’t need to do anything. The clip you record or upload, and the frames extracted from it, are deleted from our servers automatically:
- as soon as your speed has been calculated;
- when you tap Cancel on the frame review screen;
- if the upload or processing fails;
- when you come back to the app after more than 5 minutes away during a measurement;
- otherwise, by an automatic clean-up on our servers, normally within two hours and always within 24 hours.
We keep no copy after that. The videos on your phone itself, including clips you recorded with the app’s camera, are not affected by any of this. Our hosting and cloud providers may keep limited technical logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security; these are not linked to your videos and are deleted automatically after a limited period.
3. Advertising data held by Google
Ads in CricSpeedo come from Google AdMob, which uses your phone’s advertising ID. To reset or delete your advertising ID, open your phone’s Settings and look under Privacy › Ads or Google › Ads. You can also manage the information Google holds at My Ad Center and Google Account › Data & privacy.
4. Ask us to delete data
If you would like us to confirm that your data has been deleted, or you think something was not removed, email cricspeedo.com@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion request”. Because CricSpeedo has no accounts, please include the approximate date and time of the measurement. We will reply within 30 days.
